Piencourt
House Details

Built in the 18th century, in traditional Norman style, La Farinière is reached via a private road which is shared with the neighbouring farm. It is set in beautiful secluded gardens of about one and a half acres that, in our opinion, are ideal for children of all ages. The grounds are regularly maintained by the farm owners who act as caretakers for the cottage.

Downstairs

The inside of the detached cottage has as its focal point an enormous open fireplace and all the wooden beams are exposed (taller visitors sometimes become acquainted with three of them that are a bit low). If you want to make use of the fire there is firewood available for a small additional charge.

Downstairs there is a fully fitted and well equipped kitchen including a gas cooker, microwave, washing machine and a refrigerator. There is also a bathroom with wc, bidet, basin and a bath with a shower. The large open plan sitting room and dining room area has ample seating with a large pine table and old pine dresser. At the far end is a good size double bedroom.

Upstairs

Upstairs there is a wc off the landing and on one side is a large family bedroom with double bed, single divan bed, cot and en-suite shower room. On the other side are two double bedrooms, one leading through to the other.

The cottage has four double beds and we provide duvets and English pillows for each.

Outside

Outside there is a patio area with garden furniture and a barbecue. There is also some badminton equpiment and plenty of room for children to play. A large outbuilding provides storage space if required and there is ample room for parking within the grounds of the cottage.

The cottage is available from 3.00pm on the day of arrival and we would ask you to vacate no later than 10.00am on your departure day.
